The Queensland Choir presents for the first time Handel's oratorio ‘Samson’. Composed within a few weeks of the completion of Messiah, Samson tells the story of the legendary Israelite warrior, his dramatic downfall and the terrible vengeance he wreaks upon his enemies. Richly orchestrated and full of brilliant arias (including ‘Let the bright Seraphim’ and ‘Total Eclipse’), and suburb choruses that range from the solemnly dignified to the carefree and hedonistic. Not to be missed!
